Discover WFDF 2018 WMUCC
With 40 main fields and 11 secondary fields in play for the week long main event (and free practice times in the week leading up to the championship), the size of WFDF 2018 WMUCC promises to be immense!
The World Flying Disc Federation 2018 World Masters Ultimate Club Championships are coming to Winnipeg in the summer of 2018 and they will be hard to miss...
Little Mountain Sportsplex will host the event HUB (Athlete Meal Plan, Food Truck Alley, Live Stage and Beer Garden) and 40 fields of play including 3,000 person arena during the event.
IJL Ultimate Park will also be home to 11 secondary fields open to the event in case of rain and open to tournament teams for free training times leading into WFDF 2018 WMUCC. Bringing the total amount of ultimate fields for the championships to 51.
Participants from around the world are expected to attend with 1500-2000 international ultimate players competing throughout 5 divisions.
Men's Masters will have 24+ teams.
Women's Masters will have 16+ teams.
Mixed Masters will have 20+ teams.
Grand Masters Men's will have 12+ teams.
Great Grand Masters Men's will have 4+ teams.
There is also room for division expansion should there be enough interest and WFDF approve the extra teams.
More than 4,000 people are expected through LMS park each day during the event from the opening ceremonies Sunday July 29th to the finals being played at Investors Group Field on August 4th.
More than 30,000 meals are expected to be served over 5 days.
WMUCC will go through more than 16,000 litres of purified water during 5 days of competition.
Winnipeg will get as hot as 35+ degrees Celsius during a summer heat wave... 95 Fahrenheit. The city is up to -35 degrees Celsius in winter (-31F).
More than 220 volunteers will be in use for the set up, main event and take down.
